STHA Conference 2025 – Connections
Hand Therapy Conference | Shoulder to Hand Alliance
For the first time, the Action Rehab Hand Therapy conference was run by the Shoulder to Hand Alliance.
The 2025 Shoulder to Hand Alliance Conference brought together therapists from across Australia for a day of learning, collaboration and connection.
Held under the theme "Connections", the conference marked an exciting milestone as the first hand therapy conference delivered under the Shoulder to Hand Alliance, bringing together teams from Action Rehab, The Hands Physio, Northside Hand & Upper Limb and Gold Coast Hand Therapy.
As our network continues to grow, the focus of the conference shifted beyond clinical excellence alone.
The day was designed to strengthen relationships across clinics, encourage knowledge sharing and create opportunities for therapists to learn from one another.
Throughout the conference, delegates explored a diverse range of research projects and clinical presentations.
Topics included conservative management of rotator cuff injuries, referrer expectations, staff learning patterns, functional outcomes following wrist and hand trauma, cubital tunnel syndrome, graft management and scapholunate ligament injuries.
These presentations highlighted the Alliance's commitment to evidence-informed practice and ongoing professional development.
A key highlight of the day was the keynote presentation from Peta Sitcheff, whose message aligned perfectly with the conference theme.
About Peta Sitcheff
During her time at Kieser Australia, Peta led a national team of 55 clinicians and helped grow annual medical referrals from 700 to more than 11,000. Her work focuses on the belief that sustainable business growth and high performance are built through genuine human connection.
Her keynote challenged attendees to think about how meaningful connections influence leadership, professional growth and clinical success, providing practical insights that extended well beyond the treatment room.
As we look back on the 2025 conference, the enduring takeaway is clear: strong clinical outcomes are built on strong connections. Whether through sharing research, learning from colleagues, collaborating across clinics or hearing from inspiring speakers, the conference demonstrated what is possible when talented clinicians come together with a common purpose.
We thank everyone who contributed to making the event such a success and look forward to continuing to strengthen connections across the Shoulder to Hand Alliance community in the years ahead.
